Many companies go for an official logo redesign from time to
time. This is a lengthy and time consuming process, and what follows is even
more tedious. A logo that is not changed for decades will require some time to
get adjusted to change. And the same goes to the consumers. They might also
plainly reject the new defined changed. But if we look at it on the outset we
will see that change is always good for the long run of the brand. A change
provokes mixed emotions in the minds of the consumer. Generally it gives a
fresh appeal to the brand and it shows that the brand is evolving. The brand is
growing for the better.
Recently a famous dictionary publisher changed their traditional
logo. If we look at the world of dictionaries then arguably one name is what we
all are familiar with and must have come across some time in our lives. “Oxford dictionaries” recently changed their logo. Their old logo was a normal plain
text in blue with a white background. The
new logo is again in white background and the text is in a lighter shade of
blue. The logo is a blue D in lower case which looks like it got inspired by
the “Beats “of Dr. Dre.
