BrandedLogoDesigns reviews - The logo revamp of Black and Decker.

Black and Decker are the biggest home appliances and hardware manufacturer in America. They have kept their logo the same since their inception which is nearly a century ago. Black & Decker have evolved over time but they didn’t thought of changing their identity until now. They are the sort of company that believes in tradition and keeping it alive through these seemingly small things. Black and Decker has performed well all those years due to their superior quality at affordable price and also having a truly global presence.

Their earlier logo had a black background with a hexagonal nut shaped logo. The name of the brand was written in white. It was a successful logo and it must have been a difficult task revamping the logo. The management hired a design compan

y for the task and they came up with a logo that doesn’t look that bad. The new logo is again in black background with the name of the brand in orange. This is the same color scheme as the previous one. They in fact have changed their identity a bit. The ‘&’ of Black & Decker is gone, or replaced with a ‘+’.

Many companies go for an official logo redesign from time to time. This is a lengthy and time consuming process, and what follows is even more tedious. A logo that is not changed for decades will require some time to get adjusted to change. And the same goes to the consumers. They might also plainly reject the new defined changed. But if we look at it on the outset we will see that change is always good for the long run of the brand. A change provokes mixed emotions in the minds of the consumer. Generally it gives a fresh appeal to the brand and it shows that the brand is evolving. The brand is growing for the better.
Recently a famous dictionary publisher changed their traditional logo. If we look at the world of dictionaries then arguably one name is what we all are familiar with and must have come across some time in our lives. “Oxford dictionaries” recently changed their logo. Their old logo was a normal plain text in blue with a white background.  The new logo is again in white background and the text is in a lighter shade of blue. The logo is a blue D in lower case which looks like it got inspired by the “Beats “of Dr. Dre.

The logo of the 2018 Worldcup is unveiled in the International space station by Russian astronauts. They were communicating and event was beamed live around the world. Looking at the logo, which has a striking similarity to the “Roger” from “American Dad”. It is a fictional character from the famous sitcom “American Dad”. And we are not just saying this; the pictures explain it for themselves. The logo is depicting the heart and soul of the host nation. It has a red background with a golden logo in the center. The logo looks actually like the trophy but its striking similarities with the “Roger” is what making it so popular in social media.
The colors used are red blue and white, which makes it all the more American. But it’s actually the tricolors of the Russian flag as well.
Fans from across the globe were tweeting about it and interestingly many of them made fun of the logo by matching it with Roger. But overall the logo is received well. Some even say it’s the best logo ever but we have to wait and watch for that sort of a review.

The latest Google’s Penguin update.
The most talked about update Google has to offer in the past week or so was the Penguin 3.0. A lot has been written and said about the much anticipated Penguin update which took nearly a year to roll out. Some of the key points and features of the update are as follows.
  • Penguin 3.0 update actually began rolling out on last Friday (17-oct-14).
  • No major changes in the SERPs could be observed.
  • Presently affects to a lesser extent than 1% of US English queries.
  • World-wide rollout said to last many weeks.
  • Full affect cannot be measured until rollout is finish.
  • The update is new but not a full-fledged update.
  • No new signaling added to Penguin algorithmic program.
  • Intended to help websites retrieve from previous loops of Penguin, as well as relegate newly-discovered spamming web sites.

To the most beneficial of our understanding, Penguin 3.0 is managed to roll out in America but still rolling out world-wide. If the web traffic you depend upon is chiefly US based, it’s a good estimate to check your analysis now (if you didn’t do it yet) and check if there are any acute spikes. Worldwide users can wait a few weeks or unless some SEO gurus start writing about them.

The importance of content that appears on your website.

Visitors to your website can instantly make out if your content is useful to them or not. Within seconds they can disapprove a pretty good looking website. All that effort that the designers put in making that website is wasted due to mediocre looking website.
In the past decade or so, websites were built differently. They were loaded with content. Hundreds of thousands of words were bombarded to the viewers. In those times it was not considered bad because everyone was doing this. Viewer didn’t know what quality content was. So everything and anything was accepted. This type of content driven websites soon became unpopular with the visitors and a change was needed.
The World Wide Web today is not that complex. Now, the content is to the point, adequate and worthwhile. Viewers need information and they are able to fine it easily. They can relate to it and use the information. This sort of ease creates a good feeling about the website. Users will come back to your site, recommend it, and make full use of the platform.
Good web content presents a good image of the organization. And on the other hand, pushy and over the board content can destroy your image. And kill the purpose of an online presence

The impact of a logo designed by an amateur.

The look of a logo can tell you if that has been designed by an amateur or a professional. Putting in a lot of colors or state of the art graphics cannot ensure the success of the logo. This can happen when the business owner wants a quick fix solution to their

logo requirement. They have limited resources and limited knowledge of the logo design industry. So, they go for the cheapest logo designers available in the market. By doing this they can get a logo which may be very cheap but if the logo is not addressing the core purpose then the logo is useless.

On the other hand if you hire a professional company with experience, you will get a good result and the logo will pay off in the future. The benefits of a good logo are endless. The logo will look professional and generate a good image of your company. It will be conceived and built from scratch so it will have a fresh appeal to it. Another criterion of a good logo is that it can be reproduced easily. A good popular logo will sustain for a longer period. Since there are a lot of logos designing companies out there so due to competition, they offer good competitive prices.

The new ways of swindling customers in the field of web development

If you want to see how many people are being fooled then you don’t have to run through more than a dozen individuals to find someone who has given away  up to five thousand dollars to a web developer who has basically pulled a guide off something like Theme park, for instance, paid $20 or even just reprocessed an existing one, made a couple of fine-tunes,  gave it back and demanded the money for a full scale website.

These developers leave the customers and don’t pay any heed to revisions from the clients. Which is something they all offer and it is essential in web development, because all websites are custom made and every website is different from the other (supposedly)

This may be occurring more with open origin is that the majority of CMS on the internet are built utilizing open source programs such as Drupal, WordPress, Joomla and, to a small degree, Magento.

Nevertheless, clients at the least have the option with an open source resolution to pull out or export the message into a better system or amend it or wangle it yourself, whereas with your proprietorship software programs that’s almost invariably not the case since they don’t want you to get out.

The latest Google update, Penguin 3.0

The Search engine optimizer’s around the world have been uneasy because of the way Penguin functions. If you’re struck by it, even if you make modifications, you have to hold back until the next issue to see if your modifications have done what Google desired.

Publishers struck by the previous version of Penguin — last year in October 2013 — have been expecting until now to see if activities they’re tried such as getting rid of spammy links have influenced. If so, they’re probably seeing some betterment in traffic this period of time. If not, they have to try cooking up more changes and then holding off until how long it takes for Google to update the Penguin again.

Incidentally, for those who tried d

enying bad links, if you were on then between the last three weeks, that was very late for this Penguin modify. Do confine in your mind that some individuals may see ranking drop-offs but not really be hit by Penguin. That’s due to if Penguin causes a broad range of links to be dismissed, those connections will no longer put across the credit or play “votes” as they formerly might have.

Internet sites that benefitted from these fake voting’s — as Google would look at them — lose that advantage and thus potentially visibleness, even though they weren’t punished by Google directly.
Google has hinted that with the latest interpretation of Penguin, it also would have a new system of rules allowing for reviews to happen more often. We can only come to know about that in due time, fingers crossed.

Popularity of new age web design tools.
Responsive Web page design
Responsive network design has gained impulse in the last couple of years, with Twitter Bootstrap being an existent framework that is broadly being adopted. An important goal of responsive webpage design has been to endorse multiple devices minus having to restyle the set up for each of these hand held devices. This is a crucial goal, as one cannot auspicate the screen size due to dissimilar devices being used for grazing the Internet, sizes ranging from a cell phone device to a bigger TV. Various add-on components and glyptography’s exist for Bootstrap model. Various Bootstrap-based ideas are now useable for popular blog and content direction systems like Word Press. Exertions are on way to neutralize responsive web pattern and organizations like Kalexiko take the way when it relates to this type of website.
The new HTML5 and Lean Design platform
Video is now coming forth as an important component in modernistic web design. More out-of-date Flash based videos are being substituted with HTML5 compliant ones. Another prospect that has gained impulse is the growth of lean design glide path with visual storytelling characteristic. Hero artwork and ghost buttons have substituted the bulky text writings and conventional buttons to allow for more visual charm.

The impact of a logo on your organization

Your logo has to turn heads
Your new logo will in all likelihood not have the comfort of being in your customers’ eye for a lot of time. In fact, you are likely to have a few moments (on the outset) to ‘grab’ the spectators attention. If your logo is required to be deciphered, or has an elaborated ‘back story’ there’s plausibly little chance that it will convey the essence of your organization, service or product effectively.

A tagline can be uncanny, but shouldn’t  be a part of your logo
A tagline (also called a strap line) is the set phrase or few words that distinguish a company, or the organization’s mission. Generically stated, taglines are boasted under the logo (or in round logos – all around the logo). They’re nice and all, but it’s not prudent to include them in the basic design phases of your logotype. Wordy taglines will need a small font that will get illegible at more small-scale sizes. Also, a punch line can create a lot of visual jumble in m

any practical applications. It’s always more beneficial to have that all time-clever tagline as a distinguish element that you can contribute when needed, or when doing this will not interpose with the design unity of your logo design itself.

The basics of Logo designs.
Designing a logo can involve a lot of thinking and you need to get your creative juices flowing in order to get everything in a logo, but on the other hand if you look closer, a logo doesn’t need to be too complex.
Uncomplicated is sometimes better

A composite logo can be hard to reproduce and more significantly, difficult to memorize. More proper is to have a simple logo design for your central concept, and a modified version when a more intricate interpretation is appropriate, and/or the replication medium allows. Have a look at the some of the famous company logos to get an idea before you dive in the world of logo designing.

A logo doesn’t necessarily need to communicate what your company does.

On the whole, business logos don’t really portray what the organization does. Imagine the McDonald’s Golden Arches. There is no food there. Imagine the FedEx logo. No planes or cargo trucks (though there is a subliminal ‘hidden’ arrow). Imagine the Nike swoosh. No golf shirts or sneakers. While there are times when having a logo that depicts a factor of the company is more suited, it’s often more beneficial to have a company logo that’s diagrammatically void of detail – a logo that can be adjusted to whatever decision the company takes. Imagine the Apple logo. Agreed, it is a bitten off apple. But there’s no denotation that it belongs to a electronic company. That’s a reasonably cool thing – the Apple logo appears just as good on an iPod as it does on the back of an iPhone.

How to creating an experience more than a design.

You have a brain, arms, knees, and shoulders, but the latest selling trends with your eyes, mouth, ears and nose. There is a scientific research behind the rise in aroma marketing. The Sense of Smell Institute, in New York explains that the average human being is able to recognize more or less 10,000 different scents and recall them with 65% precision after one year of the contact. By comparability, the visual recall of exact images diminishes by 50% after just three months. It appears that the most exciting opportunities lie in scent, especially in terms of using scent as a marketing chemical mechanism. Aroma-as-brand-quality may just be the origin. New tech research is emerging that emits particular scents at certain times, depending upon mood, environment, or hour of the day, suggesting the next field of scented marketing will be more physical and customizable. We’ve even seen advertisers take advantage on the smell trend through redolent billboards for baked spuds
